Position Description:
The Early Years (called ¡°EY¡± at GTAIS) teacher will be responsible for a class of approximately 16 children between 3- to 5-years-old.? The teacher will plan and work together with one to two teaching assistants. The Early Years teacher will support students emotionally, socially, and physically.

Responsibilities:
¡¤???????? Assume primary responsibility for teaching the (Early Years) classroom
¡¤???????? Communicate daily with the teaching assistant to plan and discuss student needs
¡¤???????? Facilitate classroom activities such as small group instruction, station work, and cooperative learning experiences
¡¤???????? Follow a play-based approach, giving students opportunities to work inside and outside, and in all areas (social-emotional, physical, creative, arts, dramatic play, beginning literacy, beginning math, science) following the Nel Framework out of Singapore (available online)
¡¤???????? Maintain routines and use positive and collaborative approaches to student behavior management, effectively approaching student misbehaviors as learning opportunities
¡¤???????? Ensure approach with students reflects and supports multiple forms of diversity and is responsive to a diverse learning community
¡¤???????? Attend assigned meetings and professional development sessions
¡¤???????? Maintain open and proactive communication with other school staff and students¡¯ families
¡¤???????? Perform other duties as required by the Director

?Preferred Qualifications:
1.??? Bachelor¡¯s degree in Education
2.??? Experience leading young children
3.??? Excellent communication skills, including adequate English skills
